Camarillo Air EXPO Chairman Ken Coolidge hailed the participation of Mallory Lewis and her famous sidekick "Lamb Chop" in this year's event on Aug. 16 & 17 at the Camarillo Airport.  Said Coolidge, "Chapter 723 of the Experimental Aircraft Association takes pride in presenting these two Emmy Award winning performers as their Special Guest Stars."

As the daughter of a beloved children's entertainer, MALLORY LEWIS has been deeply involved in children's entertainment her entire life. A multiple Emmy Award nominee and Emmy Award winner for "Outstanding Writing in a Children's Series," Lewis has an extensive background in all aspects of television production, including writing, producing, and performing. She began her career at age 12 working with her mother Shari Lewis by ghostwriting for her newspaper column. After writing and producing for the Lamb Chop's Play-Along show, Lewis assumed the responsibilities of her mother's three prime-time variety specials, and served as executive story editor and producer of The Charlie Horse Music Pizza.

Following her mother's death, Lewis began appearing with Lamb Chop at live and televised events, performing in more than 400 shows at such venues as The Magic Castle and aboard the Queen Elizabeth 2. She has toured with the USO, entertaining the troops and their families around the world.

As an author, Lewis has penned 20 children's novels, including the popular Adventurers Inc. and Zoey and Me series.

Most recently Mallory is also honoring her mother's legacy with her new DVD series, Phonics 4 Babies. The first DVD in the series, titled Babies 1st Words!, is currently available in stores and at phonics4babies.com! The second title in the series, titled Family and Friends hit the stores last

Coolidge pointed out that Lewis's childrens themes dovetail with one of the stated purposes of the local EAA chapter, noting that the EAA's "Young Eagles" program in which youngsters may receive their first flight in a small airplane provided by volunteer pilots from the chapter.

Gates will be open between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. both days. Admission is $8 for adults with kids under 10 accompanied by an adult free.
