The Stewart S-51 is a 70% scale model of the P-51 fighter plane.  This plane was started in 1996 by owner-builder Owen Smith.  The first flight was in 2004.  The plane is metal construction and powered by a specially built 473 cu. in. Chevrolet V-8 engine that develops 500 horsepower.
